Lidl have 11 stalls in the Xmas market

    Reported in the Galway advertiser.... I wonder which ones? Is there even 11 stalls there?
    Anyhow it does take away the feeling of helping the independent traders and supporting artistan producers.
    I wonder is it the Burger and hotdog stalls....@€;5 a pop its a bit of a rip-off imo

    I thought that was only for the first weekend? They were giving out freebies and supporting a charity.

    For all of us who read this thread, we heard Lidl was only there for the first few days. I went a week ago and there was no sign of them.

    Its a continental market based on German traditions, Germans like a Wurst, hence why thats what they serve in the market. What do you want, a sit down turkey and ham dinner ;). Lidl had stalls the first weekend, looks like that article is based on councillors issues relating to when Lidl had the stalls rather than them having a constant 11 stall presence.
