The original choke tackle king himself. Nicely done. Muldoon will probably overtake him later this year

Excellent, legend delivers one more time.

George Ford plays for his father, but which player who was also in action this weekend in Europe plays for his Father in Law.

(the legendary player sleeping with the coaches daughter!!)

When not scoring against Ireland Vincent Clerc is sleeping with Guy Noves daughter.

Speaking of France, what do the rain-soaked RWC semi-final in 1995 and Munster v Clermont in the weekend have in common?

    Two Johnnys. Bell and Davies.

Well apparently there are three. I was thinking of O'Mailey and Davies. I thought the O'Mailey one would be tough

O'Malley was never picked ahead of O'Driscoll...

There was that article that came out around his retirement where they said he was named to start ahead of him and he got injured or something

When Ed Byrne made his debut for Leinster at the start of this season, his twin brother Byrne also was playing. One other set of twins have played together in the same game in the pro12 who were they?

Probably best known are the pavans, but there was actually 2 other sets as well.

There were a pair of Italians a few years back. Think it was for Aironi but can't remember their names.

    Donncha and Ultan O Callaghan

Which player scored the opening try in two different world cups?

Four Tipperary clubs currently have players who started playing rugby with them playing professionally. Name the player and the club each started with.

Edit. Your right it was Ultan and Donners

Tough first one.. The Argentine Igarcio Carletto..

Second answer I think are Paddy Butler (Cashel), Donnacha Ryan (Nenagh) , Tommy O Donnell (Clanwilliam) and Dave Foley (Clonmel)

Michael Jones 1987 & 1991. Versus Italy & England if memory serves correctly.

Guess I better ask a Q: McCaw came to the aid of Irish ref David McHugh when he was attacked by Pieter Van Zyl in 2002. McHugh dislocated his shoulder and left the field. Which ref completed the match?

Technically the opening try in the 1987 RWC was a penalty try. But Jones was the player to score a try in both.

Chris White replaced McHugh, I think.

Q: What former Super rugby coach, spent a season coaching club rugby in Cork?

Kiwi coach from the Super 12 days. Can't remember whether he coached Cork Con or Dolphins. He did say he had a bit of trouble communicating with some of the players. Someone would have to translate his explanations and then translate the questions the players had.

I know you're a Blues man, but unless it was Jed Rowlands, I don't think Blues. Maybe Kevin Greene (Chiefs).

    Otherwise I give up!

    Nope!

The player in question ended up not playing / joining the squad because of injury.

Poor spelling but you win. :pac:

Yes Bastareaud played for Massy in Federale 1 in 2006-07 before signing his first professional contract with Stade Francais. He was called up for the 2007 summer tour, having never played a professional match, when France sent a shadow squad to New Zealand. He then had to stay at home because of injury.
