    Hi,
i just moved to the new house and wondering what 13A fused switch is for? Located upstairs by the each bathroom. No any electrical showers inside the bathrooms.

    Thanks

There are a number of things that it could be for. Where in the bathroom is it positioned? Generally switches (other than pull cords) are not installed in bathrooms, the exception being fan isolators.
Switch it off and see what will not work.

There is no any extract fans. Because we have heat recovery heating system. Tubes are installed in each bath. The warm inside air (exhaust air) is drawn into the ventilation system. Warm exhaust air is supplied to the heat pump for heat recovery and etc... And floors are heated in the first floor and ground floor. Each room has thermostat.

So whereabouts in the room is the spur located? It is not advisable to have a mains voltage switch that is within reach in a bathroom (increased shock risk). It would be easy to change for an unswitched version.

This may have been installed with the intention of "future proofing". It could be used for an electric toothbrush charger, hotel type hairdryer or heated towelrail.

They are located together with light switch. Might be installed with the intention.

Perhaps I misunderstood, this is outside the bathroom, as opposed to inside the bathroom?

They are outside the bathrooms, one switch for light and another one fused switch.

Could be heated mirrors or heated underfloor heating.

Doesn't underfloor heating get controlled via a stat and not a straight forward spur?

Underfloor heating can be controlled by thermostat. Thermostat is opening/closing el. valve for each room.

So does the room heat up when the spur is switched off?
Why not ask the electrician ?
