Smell of diesel in car

    There is a smell of diesel in my sisters car, patches of diesel under car when its parked. Any ideas of what it would be?

    I guessed that but could it be from somewhere else than the tank?

    Your not giving us much to go on,

    Make / Model / Year etc.

    Patches at front or rear ?

    Excellent point, OP said "patches" not patch so multiple leaks it is.

    As asked previously....... where are the diesel stains? Under the engine or the tank or elsewhere?
