Deciding to paint the stock of my JG Bar-10. I'm after stripping off the rubber textured paint finish off it and I'm wondering now what sandpaper to use? At the moment I have 180, 240 and 400 to use.

Also, do I need to use any sort of primer and where would be the best place to buy paint suitable for plastic? Cheers.

Halfords grey primer is really good for plastics.

Use a bit of 1200 wet and dry to do the final smoothing and wipe it down with painting wipes before priming.

Halfords do the finish tac cloths for a couple of euro for ten.Myself i use krylon paint (mia do it) and its a nice ultra flat finish.Halfords also do camo paint which is good.I don't use primer and never had any problems.

Cheers guys. Will try to get to Halfords one of the days and have a look for primer and 1200 sandpaper. :)
