Xmas Lights: Connecting lights to light socket

    Trying to put Christmas lights in a porch, but no mains in there and cant put extension lead there as door then wont shut.

    is there an adaptor that I can plug into the light socket which I can use to power Christmas lights?

    I seen one years ago but I doubt you could get them now.

    Yeah I was thinking that, I can remember seeing it done before but that was probably a long time ago. Wasn't sure if appliances had developed since then!!
