bricklaying in toronto

so from i can see , toronto has plenty of jobs for bricklayers with good rates of pay.anyone know what its like for brickies in toronto. whats the work like ? does it slow down or maybe stop over the winter? is it easy and affordable to get decent accomadation? any info on this would be great
