    Hi,

    I got efibre installed yesterday. I was quite hopeful that I would get near the maximum speed. Although I would have been happy with some thing close.

    Here are my current line stats:

    ============================================================================
           VDSL Port Details       Upstream         Downstream
                   Line Rate:      5.447 Mbps       25.985 Mbps
        Actual Net Data Rate:      5.448 Mbps       25.986 Mbps
              Trellis Coding:         ON                ON
                  SNR Margin:        8.8 dB            9.0 dB
                Actual Delay:          0 ms              0 ms
              Transmit Power:      - 7.1 dBm          12.8 dBm
               Receive Power:      -29.1 dBm          -6.9 dBm
                  Actual INP:       12.0 symbols      30.0 symbols
           Total Attenuation:       21.8 dB           19.7 dB
    Attainable Net Data Rate:      5.477 Mbps       24.048 Mbps
    ============================================================================
          VDSL Band Status    U0      U1      U2      U3      D1      D2      D3
      Line Attenuation(dB): 25.7    21.4    27.7     N/A    15.3    27.2    38.8
    Signal Attenuation(dB):  N/A    19.9    26.1     N/A    16.3    27.3    38.7
            SNR Margin(dB):  N/A     8.8     8.8     N/A     9.0     9.0     9.0
       Transmit Power(dBm):-128.0   -10.1   -10.4     N/A     9.1     7.8     6.8
    ============================================================================

    I am connected to a cabinet less than 100m away and my line is no longer than this. I just called the installer who confirmed this for me. I have a close neighbour with a modem that syncs at 70Mbps with a 70Mb package. The installer said I should be getting near the maximum at my location.

    Can my line be checked for faults or speed profile increased?

    Thanks.

    Hello ShevY

    Apologies for the disappointing first impression with the speeds. I can see that there is indeed scope to improve the speeds however to arrange this please contact eircoms technical support department directly. I highly recommend Instant WebChat at eircom.net but you can also reach technical support directly on 1890260260.

    Thanks
    Al
