    Hi

    I need to move out of my house at the end of the year. when do I cancel the account?

    Hi monday_,

    Your account would need to be closed no earlier than the day you move out, as you would need to submit a meter-reading to us that day - for usage up to the point you leave.

    Hi monday_,

    If your meter is locked, then you will be able to open it by obtaining a meter key. You can get one in most hardware shops, or we can arrange to have one sent out to you.

    If you'd like us to post you out one, please PM with your account details (Electric Ireland account number, full name, address and contact number).
