Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

only difference between tonight and Sunday gone, is we have taken our chances and Bournemouth dont have the clinical finishing that Utd had. still like butter at times.

He probably wants to watch PSV vs Feynoord.

I wouldn't. This is a good opportunity to get goals and boost his confidence.

Confidence can give a player more energy.

Surely the irony will not be lost on anyone. A LuckyLlyod match thread-run for The Rodgers Renessence! Go Llyod!! :P

We were 2-0 up to Notts County at home in this cup last year, and look at the struggle we made of that game. If we get 4-0 ahead I might relax.

Good first half though apart from giving away 2 great chances. Decent pace and passing in attack which is encouraging, but it is against a lower league team who have made several changes.

Llanna really is a lazy player imo.... he looks wrecked half the time

Lallana playing with broken ribs for weeks has to affect his breathing and stamina would be my guess why he looks wrecked so early in games.

He looks tired already, with the amount of game time he gets it's no wonder!

Well even if you're just Richard Hillman a neutral that was a most enjoyable fast paced half of football. Hendo is no sort of winger but he is fairly solid defence wise. Can for Gerrard would be good to see and Borini on for one of Coutinho/Lallana late on.

Attack looks great so far, wouldn't make any changes there for now. The creative players can do what they do because of Lucas, he's not great going forward but doesn't have to be, he stays back and let's the others do it. Changes I would like to see are Can for Gerrard and Sakho for Lovren.

Thanks for that Richard. I enjoyed your contributions here. I look forward to seeing what other unorthodox games you watch in future.

    I wish you well.

Wanting to watch an all PL tie opposed to a grossly uncompetitive game is not very unorthodox. PSV and Feyenoord will have to do me until the Apprentice starts

What is it with these defenders and putting players under pressure with passes when they are being marked.

And where was he for the one decent chance they had in the first half?
Caught badly out of position, they should have scored as well.

That Henry add is going to become very annoying very quickly.

I think he was consistently taking off for Southampton last year though so has a stamina issues, so I doubt its his ribs though they would be a contributor tonight.

    so so so

Wahey 2-0 up but then again with that amount of first team senior talent on the pitch we should be.

I see Borini is on the bench. Be still my heart.

I heard Lalanna has the heart of a baboon after life saving surgery as a child so he doesn't have great stamina.

Tonight yeah. sorry was a bit unclear there but he has been fooked early on in matches all season before he got the rib injury and his history over last season, tell us he has a stamina issue. Works hard though, just doesnt have the engine Henderson has to keep it up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,952 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

With 3 CBs we really need one who can pass it out from the back, unfortunately ours is on the bench.

Would love to see Sakho for Lovren, Can for Gerrard and Borini for Lallana at some stage in the second half.

Nice to see Sakho get a half of football, though I presume it's to promote his Christmas-themed cover of "Blame It On Me".

    Should be marvellous.
