Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Disappointed that Herrara is out, would have liked to see him play. Fletcher playing concerns me greatly he hasn't got he legs.

They're reporting that Herrera and Fellaini are out due to illness.

Anyone is this the first time we could potientially have RVP, Rooney, Falcao, Mata and Di Maria on the pitch at the same time?

Probably but there's no way Di Maria comes on for anyone who isn't one of those players.

Ridiculous United line up. Usually beat villa though.
    United to win 3-1

Have to say I'm worried about that midfield. Fletcher has been very weak any time I've seen him this season. Rooney is going to have to work his b0llox off.

I can see Villa putting a lot of pressure on Carrick.

    Jinx?

Yere playing Villa with 4 fine attacking players, even if we let 1 in ye'll get many more.

Villa are down to bare bones

Not sure how Delph wasn't booked there.

    Ya, pretty poor tackle

Valencia can seriously just feck off. 5 times in like 3 minutes he played it back from an attacking position and still doesn't get back for the Villa attack.

Steady on Robin! He's got volleys on the brain. :)

super goal from Benteke. Evans was poor to give him the half yard of space for the strike though.

    Poxy soft goal to concede

    Glazers Out!

    Evans was so poor there

You don't let a striker have that much time in the box

Whatever Evans was doing there,it wasn't defending.

It was good footwork by Benteke to create the yard of space. Not much more.

Rooney was as guilty as Evans there, plus he turned his body away from the shot.

It was Villas first shot of the match.

Utd are passing it around but have no penetration ,only one shot on target so far

This happened a lot last season; the build up was all about how many years has been since such and such a side has beaten United, alwaysended up with that duck being bbroken and United beaten.

    Glazers Out!

Nice goal though. Da Gea had no chance.

Fletcher looks a bit out of his depth at the moment. Valencia doing poor as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Shocking ball from Fletcher.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,372 ✭✭✭✭Liam O

Ah you can't overly blame Evans for that. Benteke's shot was incredible, Evans made it so it had to be to score and Benteke just did well. Not everything is someone's fault.

Evans simply cannot let that get by him, it's a simple header and he get's caught under it... Terrible defending

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,894 ✭✭✭Nolars

Fletcher not with it all all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,346 ✭✭✭Quandary

Fletcher has given away a few very silly balls in the last 5 mins. Up until then I thought he was doing fairly well.

Still a soft goal when you consider how many touches benteke got before shooting.

    Glazers Out!

Rooney with the cracking passes to Valenica, never get sick of seeing that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,825 ✭✭✭Timmyctc

If anyone actually thinks villa legitimately went 1-0 up theyre kidding themselves. Uniteds attack is simply giving villa a headstart so the game seems somewhat competitive.

De gea could have saved it if he wanted and benteke was offside

Yes,soft allright ,poor by Evans but a good finish.

Villa will be delighted they are a goal up as they can play on the counter now which they are good at.

Its great when it comes off but most of the time it doesnt and its a waste.
There is no point playing a 60 yard pass like that with a Villa player less than five yards away from the intended receiver.
Its also questionable repeatedly playing that ball out to an isolated wing back who is rubbish at crossing.

It's all tiki with no taka at the moment

Need a goal before half time
