Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Failing to see how that was the keeper's fault

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Goes to show how poor the Premier Lge is at the minute when these are 2 of the so called big guns. Comical stuff from both sides.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Ugghh sucker punched, completely dominated them as expected only to be let down by sh*te defending again.

Arsenal absolutely blessed to be going in level, they've been really poor in possession; Liverpool playing very well has contributed to that too.

Well we can't play any worse then that so 1 all not bad all things considered.

Performance was excellent, so that is at least one take out.

Debuchy hand in the back should have been a foul & Flamini sent off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

As much as Rodgers can take a lot of credit for most of that 1st half performance, he must also take credit for our continued shambles at the back - including continuing to pick Martin fúcking Skrtel.

    Absolutely livid here.

How the **** can anyone blame Jones for that?? Talk about clutching at straws.

Stupid free conceded by Gerrard and totally weak and soft by skrtel

It's bad form to drop a goalie esp for a more sîit one...

Liverpool just not organised enough defending set pieces. Serious lack of coaching.

Light years behind the Spanish Lge and on a par with the German one.

    Rubbish. Neither a foul.

Did you see Kolo's pre-assist, knocking his own player over to head it to Flamini?

You can take the boy out of Arsenal......

Would you play lovren ahead of him? We've played well. Keep it up 2nd half and we will win.

Ridiculous defensive ****e aside,I'm very happy with that first half...haven't been able to say that too often this season. This is very winable. Arsenal are very poor.

Debuchy did have a hand on his shoulder or used "leverage" as Neville said

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,855 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

Defending like that is what contributes to me being such an angry cúnt a lot of the time.

Draw match feels like a fair result. A bit more clinical and Arsenal could've been going in with a lead. All we need was a bit of a push to get us started. It's a pity it took us going 1-0 down to get everyone to put a bit of pressure on.

Well deserved half time score. Hopefully we can carry the belief into the second half

It's the same every match thread. There'd be nobody left on the pitch if you were a referee.

45 minutes of brilliant attacking play undone because our defence couldn't give a shíte, have to feel for the attacking players.

Liverpool were in control looking for the lead for 44 minutes, 12 seconds. They then gave it right up in 1 minute, 53 seconds. Ouch.

A header from a standing start from a looping ball, it floated in. Should have saved it. was too concerned in not hitting the post.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,403 ✭✭✭spiritcrusher

That's as infuriating a goal to concede as I've seen Liverpool let in. Skrtel clearly at fault but also a top keeper would've got to that I feel, it wasn't in the corner and it had an air of the inevitable.

Lol... If he can't deal with a hand on his back he shouldn't be a professional footballer and Flamini sent off???? Wasn't even a foul!!

I don't how long I've been saying we need a defensive co-ordinator/coach who can organise a defence as Rodgers absolutely cannot do this. The players we bought were decent at other clubs so as far as I can see it, the problem lies in the organisation of the defence. Rodger's still thinks he can organise a defence like Mourinho can; gettin' real tired of his sh*t now.

    Did Flamini even catch Llalana?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,088 ✭✭✭Nib

Looks like Jack Wilshere has been using Craig Bellamy as an ashtray.

If it wasn't for that donkey between the sticks it'd still be 1-0 Liverpool, a half decent keeper could have got a hand to that

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

Pretty sure Jones is still diving across to save it.

Anyone who blames Jones hasn't a breeze. Crap keeper but not his fault. The ball changed direction off the defender too.

Typical "understanding" of the rules going on on Sky... "it should have justified a booking, but since he had a booking it shouldn't."

So an elbow in the head isn't a foul:confused:. Its a football match not MMA. The Debuchy one seeing the replay probably wasn't a foul but he did have a hand on his back.

    Slightly if at all.
Wenger has a big decision to make at half-time because one more foul and Flamini's gone.
Coquelin should be on for the second half imo.
