    2-2 is battered now? Jaysus.

The scent of desperation coming from that post.
Sure they battered United as well, but lost 3-0.

    They're improving.

    Battered is an understatement tbh.

27 v 7 shots ffs says it all

This is the worst Liverpool team in 18 months remember

Liverpool sign a striker or keep Sturridge fit they will be right in the mix for top 4.

We've some top quality player to come back so I'm less worried.

Liverpool however... well.. I hope Santy brings a player or two,

The draw is a fair result. Liverpool by far the better team but they are so sh*t up front they don't deserve the 3 points.

Fair comment - we are great for breaking opta records for shots on goal and possession and stuff like that, all well and good but the team is sitting in the middle of the league.

The last two league games were against pretty limited man u and arsenal teams (even their fans would admit that) and lfc should have put them away but due to being so poor in both boxes they didn't

best thing I can say about the team is between the boxes we're as good as anyone but that's about as useful as a bird who can't fly who says he is still fastest along the ground.

We need to take more of our chances and stop conceding so easily - simples!

A bit sick we couldn't close it out, draw probably a fair result after the first half

No points lost..ah well this result helps ;)

Liverpool completely dominated the game. Would have been almost ridiculous had they come away empty handed. Even 1 point doesn't feel like enough reward but 5 minutes into injury time you'd certainly take it.

Nah, Arsenal will do top 4 again. You guys have Sturridge to come in, they have Koscielny, Ozil, Walcott, Wilshere etc to come back.

If we had a striker we would've won that aswell. The performance was as good as the match last season, if we had Sturridge fit, he would've gotten at least 1 today.

Yeah but they've been poor defensively for three years.

Arsenal are just rudderless. No game plan. Arsene doesn't always send them out with one it seems.
I thought we'd robbed it, but I suppose a point when you're playing badly is OK.
Liverpool usually show up for crucial games in fairness. Arsenal rarely do.
    That's just how it is.

Well considering the OP went for a 3-1 away win it's probably just saving face etc :)

How's it saving face? Arsenal were up up 2-1 against 10, we should have parked the bus and seen the game out. Yes Liverpool were better, if they were 3 nil up at half time it would have been deserved but it wasn't

Looks that way yes but with arsenal it seems to be a seasonal thing

With no disrespect to the other teams currently up there, I really think 4th is between Liverpool and Arsenal, tough to split them, especially with the transfer window on the way.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,851 ✭✭✭redarmy

Arsenal come here, put in one of their worst performances of the season and wander off with the three points. Spineless.
    really

Groundsman going to love Brendan now!! The pitch here is terrible...

Liverpool have a way to go yet although they do on paper anyway have a run of winnable games coming up. Been playing better in recent games alright but need to start picking up wins.

We deserved to at least get a draw today, we deserved something last week as well. Can't help thinking that Mingolet would have saved at least four of the six goals we have conceded in the last three games, Bren being his usual stubborn self is costing us, although we are now starting to play again

Our performance was better than last years 5-1 he is completely delusional and is running out of excuses

No chance, each set of fans can't even get along with fans of the same team.

In fairness things will settle down now until the return fixture.
There's no real animosity is there

I'll take the draw, especially going into injury time. But I loved the way we approached the game. Arsenal had no intention in winning that game, they lead because Liverpool are sh!t at the back.

Bloody loved that Skrtel goal. Loved it.

I meant the desperation to get a "One Up" over Arsenal fans, that he would call 2-2 a battering.

For a team with no intention of winning they were winning it until the last 4 minutes having scores two

One up on Arsenal fans? I'm not 12. Don't understand the thing going on between Arsenal and Liverpool fans in here tbh. It's the same handful anyway and I'm not part of it.

It was my first post in the thread afaik

I wouldn't call the scoreline a battering, no. It was a draw. I'm talking about the match.

The great Arsenal and Liverpool teams of old would p1ss all over what we saw today.
Goes to show how far both have dropped.
Very average if not poor teams.
    Painful to watch actually.

You's were indeed, hence my comment on us being sh!t defensively.

Listen, I've no problem Wenger going about things the way he did. He had last season in mind and didn't want a repeat. It's up to Liverpool to counteract that.

You should do a Spurs on it, release a DVD of a home draw against Arsenal.

It is about as much as you will have to celebrate all season.

Well in fairness there is a much better chance of like liverpool winning a trophy than arsenal this season without getting into We are better than you argument.

Haven't seen much of them this year but was not impressed at all. We've been woeful lately and I really thought Arsenal would play through us easily. Scored twice and the second one was pure Arsenal but overall worse than I expected. Schneiderlin for Flamini would be a good upgrade for them. They dropped 2pts today.
