    Anyone know why it is called Jervis Street?

    After Sir Humphrey Jervis, Sheriff of Dublin in 1674 and Lord Mayor from 1681-1683. He owned that part of land, having been given it for the great achievement of knocking the old St. Mary's abbey and using the stones to build Essex bridge in 1676.
