"Starting Summer 2015, Hibernia Express will provide lowest latency connectivity available between North America and Europe"

It is a pity that the government of Ireland is so neglectful in terms of policies for delivering competitively priced bandwidth to business and residential customers (ie the last km), not to mention its acquiescence to systematic traffic snooping on Irish internet and telecoms traffic by other countries that are up to be no good.

IRL should be making the country into a neutral haven for cloud services, if necessary showing two fingers to the EU whose often corrupt, overpaid bureaucrats, (who made a mess of the Euro currency, which played a large part in the global recsssion since 2008), the same EU that appears to have no regard for personal or corporate intellectual property. The same EU that has an appallingly screwed up WWW presence to present its persona, and Napoleonicly dictorial "directives" , etc.
