Why all the love for Giroud? After QPR home this week Arsenal play 2 tough away games (West Ham & Saints, respectively 5th and 2nd bets defences of the league), are home to Stoke (a team they generally struggle to deal with) and away to City... Is he just a 1 week punt?

Good points, as a punt till wildcard Benteke may be better. Looked sharp v United, rotation proof. Giroud's captain potential v QPR is very tempting though.

I really don't think zabeletta will start on the 28th. I plan to get him in the wildcard.

Would Kolarov be worth a shout?

Any transfer you can see lads:

    Green
    Terry Taylor Chambers
    Sanchez Hazard Yaya Eriksen
    Bony Austin Costa
    Elliott, Wisdom, Dummett, Marney

    1.6 mil banked.

If Clichy starts the 26th kolorav for the 28th is highly likely to start. I'll be playing wildcard early though so it probably would suit me more than you as it would be a 1 week punt for me.

Yea I agree, I would get him in now if I was confident he would play but Burnely at home is the perfect game to give him a rest. I think it's too late to bring him in now for the xmas games if you dont have him which is a shame as he's been looking very dangerous lately.

Theres a good chance you are right, but he's playing extremely well, and Sagna has only had some token appearances. It's possible he'll play both these games, it will make my Xmas (FPL wise) if he does. I've Hutton (home to Sunderland) and Dummet (home to Everton) to cover on the 28th though so can survive if not.

You already have him so that is fine myself and Lemlin don't so it's a different situation. Sagna plays to give Zab a breather home to burnley is a perfect chance for this. He is playing really well though and I think he has a better chance of starting if no striker is fit as he is a great attacking option.

I can't see another transfer worth making at the minute though:

    Green
    Terry Taylor Chambers
    Sanchez Hazard Yaya Eriksen
    Bony Austin Costa
    Elliott, Wisdom, Dummett, Marney

Chambers to Zab makes probably the most sense (if I'm keeping Green). I don't mind if he misses one game. The way he is playing he'll get more attacking returns. He was constantly trying to get in at the back of the Palace defence.

When does Benteke's good run of games start?

    His next 4 are: Swa (a), Sun (h), CP (h), Lei (a).
So depending how good you rate Swansea away for Villa next GW or the one after next ;).

Go for it so you will get your money's worth out of it as you will be wildcarding late. Predicting rotation is only an educated guess and it could be a lot of worry about nothing in zabs case. If he doesn't play you have Wisdom away to stoke which isn't too bad .

I take it you must be carrying 2 fts? Otherwise I'd be saying bank it and see what looks a good move for the 28th. If you have to use one Zab would look tempting.

I'm thinking about Benteke since iroceds post. I could have him and Silva in for Downing and Costa/RVP and then Costa/RVP to Jovetic next week.

Are you planning on keeping Costa all thru Xmas?

Yeah, the next 2 games arent great but after the FA cup them they lighten up. Heading into wildcard territory then too

I have one transfer. I have to move on Zab tonight though because I have Chambers worth 4.8 and then 1.6 in the bank. When Zab rises tonight, I won't be able to afford him.

I would have pulled the trigger already but I just want to see how the Chelsea lads go tonight before I make a transfer.

I don't know what to do re Costa. I can see myself taking him or Bony out for Bentekkers for that easy run. I don't particularly rate Benteke but he can be got rid of in the January WC.

I think im gonna bring in benteke. He is rotation proof isnt he? Im fairly sure he is but I dont know if im just trying to convince myself. Theyll hardly start with weimann up front alone?

I haven't even considered downing . He has a career goal record of 1 in every 10 yet has a 1 in 4 record this year. 4 goals in 16 games this season he had 4 goals in his previous 97 games. Granted he has shifted position and is playing in a form team and is playing well but at his price range I'd pick siggy all day long. I had similar thoughts with Yaya and Ramsey last year and caved eventually but downing has a fair bit to go to convince me that he has finally become a consistent goalscorer.

I wouldn't be getting rid of someone so cheap and in form as Downing meself. Downing floating in crosses to Carroll against Arsenal's defence is terrifying. No way you can make a move work with Boyd out?

I have Siggy and Downing so no bias, but Downing has been a much better pick over the last two months. I think the points difference will become even larger while Bony is away at AFCON.

This idea that the saints have a great defence isn't really full proof when you look into it - since they hit the big teams - in GW12 they conceded in 5 games in a row plus lost in the league cup.

Arsenal yesterday looked woeful but still scored two - I thonk GIroud is a great option and his price won't stay at 8.2 for long.

Arsenal are a team with goals in them and players who can create goals, if you look at bentekke - he lost have valuable assister in Westwood.

Your team is in good shape. Wouldn't be a fan of marney but as you said he'll get the 2 points and not worth wasting a transfer on him when you have 5 playing defenders.

Got rid of chambers myself but he should be OK for another few GWs, arsenal have QPR next too so not the ideal time to ship.

Your GKs is clearly your weak area. QPR haven't a hope of keeping a cleanie against arsenal and probably won't keep many at all unless they bring in defensive reinforcements. Dunne has been laughably bad recently.

Hart is a great way to get into the city defense with no rotation risk and will give a much better points return than green. I brought him in for my non playing goalkeeper last week because of heaton's tough fixtures. Will likely get rid with my WC when aguero is back because cash will be tighter but he should provide a few clean sheets in that period.

RVP and Boyd to Silva and Tekkers works.

Alterative of course is to drop Eriksen. I've not seen the weekend highlights yet but the stats say he was very unlucky to blank v Burnley, lots of chances created and shots on goal. And Leicester this weekend.

I like those moves. Eriksen is a troll, but if you stick with him he'll deliver those double digit hauls every now and then. Just don't captain him under any circumstance haha.

Of course downing far and away has turned out to be the better pick the last 2 months. It's been close to the best 2 months of his career I'd imagine. Based on the time since siggy has been in the pl anyone 2 mths ago switching siggy to downing was taking a massive risk.

I did that move right before Downing's 13 points against Stoke since it was my Hazard enabler and Siggy had poor fixtures. I've been playing relatively risky though; I still haven't got Costa back.

The Hart move could work, I though it was a good idea too. Shame to drop Chambers if he's gonna get his game for another while, he's a good rotation option at least.

Got rid of Chambers just there and as I exactly enough to move to Zabaleta. My only City cover is defensive, with Hart and Zabaleta. I don't want to tear up my team to get in Silva and Toure, so this combo will have to do :)

Ye Hart is a very good shout. I replaced Forster with ddg as I was happy to go with an expensive GK till wildcard due to no rotation issues. It was ddg Hart or courtoius. Hart would've been the best option in hindsight.

Starting to get the feeling Costa won't play this gameweek as Southampton is a much bigger game 2 days later and he definitely will not play twice in 48 hours.

Not exactly sure who to get in though.

Do we really think Hart is rotation-proof? No chance of Caballero for Burnely or Sunderland at home?

Is this worth an 8 point hit?

Berahino, Mata, Costa out and bring in Giroud, Sanchez and Austin?

That's the route I took 2 GWs ago. He got me 2 CS. But you could argue that Zab got the same amount of pts over these 2 games (despite only playing 1 of them) and in hindsight going for Panti and Zab at the back would have been the better idea.

I do hope though that he's more rotation proof than Zab (over the next 3 games) and

I'm on the fence regarding Sanchez. If you have him, keep him for now. However, if you don't have him, I would get him in just yet. Giroud's return has really stifled his attacking output. He isn't getting into goalscoring positions as much. If I had no Arsenal attacking coverage for the Christmas, I'd pick Giroud, Cazorla, Sanchez in that order.

Sanchez might be rested against QPR and Arsenal away isn't the best fixture for Austin. I would just do Costa to Giroud or Berahino to Kane.

Have Kane, and am desperate to dump either Berahino or Schlupp, they are both like a bad smell. Maybe Costa to Giroud and Schlupp to ????? O'Shea maybe? Or Berahino to Benteke?

Was all set to do 3 transfers and take a -4, but now I don't know what to do with myself.

Will wait and see what Costa/Azpili do this evening.

Was going to do a straight transfer of yaya to silva, but kind of want both of them now, lol

    Maybe Costa to Giroud/Benteke
    Dummett to Zabaleta

That would give me some serious selection headaches, lol :D

I have Tekkers so am in favor that move. As long as you don't need Schlupp to start every match, that would be a lower priority imo. At least he's an OOP for better attacking returns

Would appreciate a transfer recommendation. After having 2 bad weeks in a row which has seen me fall from 60k to 120k :(

    Forster - Jakopovic

    Yun - Baines - Dummett - Widsom - Naylor

    Sanchez - Yaya - Hazard - Siggy - Albrighton

    Kane - Costa - Bony

    (1.7m in the bank)

Think i've settled on Berahino, Costa for Giroud/Benteke. Might wait in case injuries are an issue.

@Rikand. Yeah that sounds good alright. Can exactly afford in. Zab and Silva in for Baines and Siggy. Would it be too much of a City overload though? Would it be madness having both Silva and Yaya?

Yaya is one of the few attacking players as is Silva i'd be 100% confident of starting the dec 26th games .There's no way I'd take him out. I plan to have both Yaya and silva if not this gw the next one.

Albrighton to Johnson is actually a very good move to cover yourself for xmas rotation. It's one of the safest moves you could make. Albrighton to Henderson isn't a bad move either.
