Looking for a recommendation. A good pizza restaurant, good wine. Not gone on Milanos. Not DiFontaines because I'm bring out SWMBO.

What the hell is SWMBO? Gotham off Grafton Street for pizza, sister restaurant of Independent Pizza in Drumcondra.

La Caverna on Fownes Street Upper (Temple Bar) do great pizza and have an awesome wine selection. 120 wines by the glass or something silly like that. Great staff, really nice place.

They also have a deal running semi-frequently on those deal websites, with two pizzas (or pastas) and two glasses of (house) wine for 15 quid or something like that. Amazing value. Can't recommend them enough.

I cant see why people give the independent pizza company such high praise. Imo its bland and just run of the mill

Osteria Lucio (http://osterialucio.com) in grand canal dock beside the bord gáis. Amazing food, really delicious pizzas, and very cool room.

Honest to Goodness have a new pizza place upstairs, haven't been yet but if it's like the rest of their food it should be pretty good.

I'm I the only one that found bunsen a massive disappointment considering the 'buzz' around the place?

I was a bit let down by it because of the hype. It is up there on the list of best burgers I've eaten so I definitely recommend it, but it's only up there by a small margin. From the hype it was receiving I was expecting it to blow all other burgers out of the water, that every other burger I ate from that point on would be a disappointment by comparison.

It's a great burger, but I'd recommend anyone take the hype with a pinch of salt. It's not gonna be a life changing experience or anything. Now the Bison bar on the other hand is something worth raving about. I tried Pit Bros and it doesn't come anywhere close.

Same for me. The burnt end bits side I had in Pitt Bros was particularly poor in comparison. Same goes for the brisket. It was fantastic in Bison.

are all the milkshake shops in the city centre closed?

As far as i can see the ones in the city centre are (liffey street, dame street, georges street) a pity but at same time maybe a passing fad. I would have thought that one of them would have been able to stay open.
