I hate being so quick honestly. Can't decide which of two or three people I want :(

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

I also have nothing planned out but after seeing my no.4 draw I'm shooting for the stars while also expecting to be dissapointed by only getting an absolutely huge name instead of whom I want.

Decent chance of getting my top pick
Low chance of getting who I'd like to pair him with though.

Remember to pm the next person folks and pm someone else your pick if you don't think you'll be around

I'm a little bit sad the stip round is a no stip round this year. It's so much more fun with an actual stipulation.

But, on the flip side it's going to make the draft so much more different this year which is very interesting. Also extremely confident now of getting the feud I want for my main event :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,804 ✭✭✭A Brad Maddox Guy

Wasn't expecting that stip. I've got no plans and no idea who I want aside from a couple smaller names so I'm happy enough to be at the end in this round. Should be able to draft my first pick with a planned opponent still available in round 2.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Got my list drawn up. Will be close if i get my main pick Id say but if i do i should get the rest.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,773 ✭✭✭connemara man

This suits my picking style (my plan is no plan) :D

it was the birthday last night and I went a bit mental so if I get called upon and someones online can I give you my pick I have 2 in mind

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,801 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

I've no idea who I want. Getting one of my top 5 picks tho

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭Uncle Walt

Itching for this to get rollin lads..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

I think it's a nice change to start with a regular round. Honestly I think everyone will get a great pick for the first two rounds as the talent pool seems more immense than normal this time around.

I always feel rounds 3-7 are the most nail-biting as big names start to get thin and you feel the loss of a big name much more as a result.

I think this stipulation is great , who knows who's going to be left by the time it reaches me though down in 16 lol, But regardless I sort of have a plan , but if it doesn't pan out I won't worry come on Lithium lets get the show on the road lol Itching aint the word :D

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Would I be right in thinking that if rd1 is stip free then rd2 will be then also? or is there a chance that could be a stip round?

TSC did you pm Lithium by any chance?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭mrkiscool2

I sent him one as well!

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,788 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Yes, next round is stip free too.

I also PM'd Lithium (as soon as the draw was made), and will take this chance to issue a small plea; we all like these things to move along at a decent pace, but there is a 24 hour limit and I don't want people feeling harassed if they aren't getting picks in super quickly. Last year's draft went crazy quick; I've been part of ones which take months. So try not to let eagerness chase people away from the game :pac:

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

With the pace this has started at I've pmd con man as he's no.5 and told him my pick assuming Itl still be available by then. On Taiwan time here gotta sleep...hopefully I'll wake up to a nice surprise now

Really I thought it was a ban for the No.1 draftee if he doesn't make his pick immediately.

About 10 of us frothing at the mouths to make our picks here :pac:

I am starting to resemble something that would remind you of a human being so I'm able to do that :)

Good luck everybody its going to be a good year I feel*

*even though I'm fifth I bet my pick will be gone

Sorry only got to a computer now, sorry for holding up the proceedings, I've picked my first roster member.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭Uncle Walt

Great left field first pick, had a feeling Rollins would go first round..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,865 ✭✭✭Spongey1975

Its a surprise first pick but thats the beauty of these drafts. I had him pegged in the 2nd round considering the main event talent out there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,492 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Great pick I had him last year as a drug addict in my fed only for him to be found to being drugged only way is up for Seth Rollins in this years draft :)

I'm gonna build my IWF around Seth Rollins, like i said in last Monday's Raw thread, he has come along way since he fired THOSE fateful chair shots in June 2014.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 42,788 Mod ✭✭✭✭Lord TSC

Rollins is a great first pick in terms of he can fit into most feuds, and his stock is on the up in a massive way.

Me though....going more traditional....if ya smell what I'm cooking ;)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 129 ✭✭Sin Eater

Seth Rollins is a great pick, and one I was certainly thinking about making.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Seth's on fire and I love the guy. But first pick? Hm.

Maybe Lithium knows something I don't. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭Uncle Walt

Cleerly a Great pick with the Rock.. As an observation.. I love how you went with a picture of the young Rocky rather than the Hollywood A-Lister.. I wonder if thats a singal of intent for him in the game?!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,492 ✭✭✭brianregan09

Rock is a great pic too can literlly fit in anywhere from an authority figure to a main eventer heel or face great pick TSC

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 418 ✭✭lebowskilite

Rock really is a great all-round for first pick. Plenty of others out there as well of course...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,108 ✭✭✭ShagNastii

Is it not a rule you have to book them as the picture you announced them with?

Can't wait for fannypack Rock running mild.

My sentiments exactly. Also a missed tag team opportunity or 3 there.

Yep huge missed oppurtunity I had Rollins in a tag team last year and they still would have counted this year

    Damn you Beakerjoe!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,801 ✭✭✭✭beakerjoe

Was torn between Punk and Shawn. I made my choice. Good luck BH

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,865 ✭✭✭Spongey1975

    Damn you Connemara man

Had a storyline in my head for years that only works for Taker. Thought he might have slipped to 8

I had my main storyline based on HBK and another so I had to go back to the drawing board sorry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,366 ✭✭✭campo

I literally have no clue of any storyline yet, my number 1 was Punk and then HBK but with them gone I am back to the drawing board

    Snip

I don't think you are supposed to mention any unpicked names in these threads......

crap sorry my bad. Great pics by everyone so far i'm biting my nails as the top names start to go

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,990 ✭✭✭✭Lithium93_

I already have my storyline roughly planned out, just hoping i'll get the pick i need/want in the 2nd round.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,933 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

Cheers con man very pleased to have gotten my 1st pick. My perfect 2nd pick would have been Rollins (but perhaps not to feud with Punk) but iI knew he wouldn't last till then especially with a potential tag partner, though in retrospect Rollins would be the one of those 2 everyone would actually want to write for.
CM Punk to walk out on fledgling UFC career?!?

Rumours are swirling that Phil "CM Punk"Brooks may already have decided that he has had enough of the ultimate fighting world. The chicago native and former ROH, WWE, WECWF & MNG wrestler is shockingly being tipped for a switch back to the squared circle. What sparked all this was a simple tweet moments after Punk was subjected to a rediculous UFC questions and answers session with UFC fans whom punk later described as "Knuckle draggers". The tweet simple stated "heading to the BWA" although this reporter believes Punk may actually be doing something called trolling the internet and the fact that the tweet was accompanied by a picture of 2 tickets to a BWA Raw event may suggrst too much is being read into it

Delighted with getting Bryan. Had a few more ideas of who I wanted if I didn't get him but am now very hopeful of getting my main event match! Have a few ideas for picks in the next round even if I am a late pick in the next round!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 303 ✭✭Uncle Walt

Ohh was kinda hoping Bryan might last till my turn, ignorant on my part! Great pick obviously!

Again, my idea for my main event is taking a lot of my focus and I needed a technical wrestler for it. Daniel Bryan was far and away my first choice.
