Nominations are in, All those with 2 votes or more made the list.

    Previous winners were :-

2010 Kiss @ The O2 (Runner up was Porcupine Tree @ Tripod)

2011 Rush @ The O2 (Runner up was QOTSA @ The Olympia)

2012 Rammstein @ The O2 (Runner up was Anthrax @ The Academy)

2013 QoTSA @ The O2 (Runner up was Slayer @ The Academy)

Only 1 vote per person and voting closes at 19:56 on NYE

Few interesting facts, previous winning gigs were all held at The Point (O2/3 Arena), unless Slash comes good then this year will be a different venue.

We had 34 Nominations, only those with 2 or more made the cut. that means this year we have 14 gigs for you to chose from

Out of the 34 Nominations 16 of the gigs were at The Academy, which proves it really is Dublins best Rock/Metal live venue (in terms of attracting decent sized bands).

HUGE praise goes to DME (Dublin Metal Events), if it wasn't for H and his team the scene over here would be in a bad way, 5 DME gig have made the shortlist

So here ya go, work away

Hidden results? There's no fun in that.

Keeping your cards close to your chest, Scudzilla?

I voted for Carcass, been waiting years to see them and they didn't disappoint in any way, lets hope DME bring 'em back next year

    +1

Great to see them again after a 20-year absence from these shores. The icing on the cake was chatting to Bill and Jeff later that night in the Gypsy Rose.

What about Machine Head? I refuse to believe that storming show only the other week in the Academy wasn't the equal of many on that list

It was all done above board, every gig with 2 or more nominations in the other thread got on the poll, MH only got the 1 nomination which surprised me

Both gigs in the Academy, and were both gigs DME? I think Clutch was anyway.

    Slash @3 Arena
Managed to maintain my record of being at either the winning or runner-up gig each year since the inception of this award. :)

Sadly just came across this now (too late i know) but i must say slayer at the academy would have got my vote - i've seen them 25+ times by now i reckon and its real special when they open with hell awaits / antichrist . Glad to see a good metal thread on here
