Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

battery change on Interlogix motion sensor

Hi all, I have a Simon (eircom Phonewatch) alarm system since 2003, no longer monitored. I have had an issue with a RF4251 motion sensor battery low message. After finally opening the damn thing, the control panel goes ape as soon as I open the motion sensor cover but unlike the shock sensors, entering the user code does nothing to stop the racket.
Any ideas? I have the new battery at the ready, but the panel noise goes on incessantly. I know it's to do with a tamper switch inside.
PS, I don't have the maintenance code.
    Many thanks.

Take the cover off the beam, have someone else by the panel to enter your code as soon as it activates.
Then swop out the battery, reset the cover and then reset your system.
