Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thank God for that, was he injured or did the penny just drop with Brendan that he is a **** keeper

Glad to see him on, but talk about screwing with a players head.

Jones was injured lads, no other option but to take him off.

Mignolet to get sent off to complete the comedy act later. Bad timing for a keeper injury though.

Never a bad time when Jones is the one coming off.

Think it was a 'Rodgers feels his point has been proven'-related injury.

I know. Standing on Jones thigh was the last straw

On the plus side, at least we have a quality keeper as backup, now just need to replace the starter:)

Injured but went straight to sit on the bench ? Little bit odd, usually any injury is a straight to the tunnel job

What you mean of screwing with his head. If its why he is subbed on its because jones is injured

Was he injured? What happened? I missed that one

Isn't it amazing the way people can Criticise Rodgers for subbing Jones without knowing the facts.

They are either morons or have an agenda. Or both

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,438 ✭✭✭livinginkorea

    Christ almighty...bring Jones back on!

  • Registered Users Posts: 821 ✭✭✭Techniques07

I see now why people wanted mig back in goals over jones, looks much safer...

Am only half watching, but is Enrique playing/on the bench?

They do? Never heard of that in 30 years of watching football

That's a sending off you are talking about.

The stream I am watching didn't say he was injured...BBC sport didn't say he was injured so I had no idea why he was coming off except he didn't attempt to save that shot off the post.

Mignolet was very lucky there, defense is looking shaky as usual a poor pass just saved them there .

Suppose its typical of the keyboard generation to go off on one first

Thr link I had open for updates said Jones is off with a thigh injury.

Did you miss where Skrtel took the goal kick instead of Jones before he came off

Didn't know Jones was injured, watching on a Russian stream and it had just loaded.

Glad he's off now, but Migs rebounded kick....ffs, new keeper needed

So much for the spell out of the team helping Mignolet. He looks terrified of the ball.

Not in particular, i suppose if its only a light injury there is no worry, but anything sinister usually i would of thought the physio etc would want an evaluation quickly which would be done in dressing room areas .

Lucas is so so slow. It's shocking

Yep, how did he get injured? If he was in doubt before the game then why risk it?

Gerrard and Hendo out wide are offering nothing.

    Sterling is so isolated

No idea but when you see an outfield player take a goal kick it is almost certain the keeper has an injury

Think we have to concede for us to waken up.

So lethargic and no pressure high up the pitch

Burnley will not give you as much time on the ball as United and Arsenal

Gerrard and Lucas really can't play together every week

    No and no.

Hopefully the second half brings an improvement but I'm sceptical.

Bring Balotelli on instead of Markovic for the second half imo and play Balotelli up top with Sterling. We'll see an improvement.

Surely Emre Can has to be a better option. Both Lucas And SG legs are gone

Mario will definitely give us some muscle up front to deal with those defenders. Markovic needs a bit more time for this but is improving a lot.

All they have to do is kick it into our half and they'll either win the header or we'll head it down to them.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

As long as Markovich is being used as a wing back we'll not him properly.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,414 ✭✭✭Lord Trollington

Were going to concede befor HT

Hendo is one who should be stepping up to the plate. He was so good last year but he has gone a step backwards this season so far.

Thank **** burnley are so **** up front.

Hendo being used as a right WB. Hardly ideal

I like our current system but players playing in it aren't ideal in their positions
