Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There isn't even any need for the crowd to get on Mignolet's back when he gets the ball, he'll likely **** it up anyway.

Sakho is like a baby giraffe. You're afraid he's going to fall over but you love him all the same.

3 points in a tough place to go. Not a great performance but wins are what we need now not performances.

We had our moments but our defense and goalies are giving us all grey hairs.

Again, what an assist by coutinho. And good composure from sterling. If only he had that at old Trafford

After that shambles first half that turned out to be a great win.. good switch by BR (although odd position) in bringing in Can. Top goal by Sterling. 3 points. Happy Christmas B-)

But one of our worst performances of the season. Performances need to improve to indicate that the plsyers & manager are making progress. Dis-improvement is worrying.

Performances improved drastically against Utd, arsenal and Bournemouth but he resukts weren't the best. Now that the win playing bad, you are still complaining.
A win is a win and it's a win on the back of a recent stretch of good performances.

We were better but still average against Arsenal & Utd. We were much better with the ball but still very poor at the back & in the final third.

    Bournemouth are a Championship side.

To get 4th this season I think we'd have to go on a winning run after Xmas similar to last year...can you really see us doing that?

Did you look at the table at all before commenting ? 20 points off top place, 15 from the bottom. Closer to the bottom and you think we will get 4th ?

Not necessarily. We need to get 6 points more than Arsenal and Spurs and we'll get top 4 then. I'm disregarding the likes of West Ham and Southampton from getting top 4, and also Everton. If we beat the North London lads we'll get top 4 99% of the time.

I don't think we will, but we are blessed to be still within shouting distance of it.

4th is gone. Liverpool will probably hit a purple patch at some point but it wont be enough. Nearly halfway through the season Liverpool are on 25 points.

It's going to take at least 70 points to get 4th and it's incredibly unlikely Liverpool will pick up 45 points from 20 games. Lets be real here.

A run such as last year will not be required imo.

Did you read my post at all before commenting? I said "If we get 4th he will still complain", I did not say I think we will get 4th ;) I am very aware of where Liverpool are in the table, many thanks for the summary though, someone may well find that beneficial, although you have omitted to mention Liverpool are 7 points off 4th, folks not overly familiar with the table would be more interested in that than the points we are from top & bottom :D

    Indeed.

    Arsenal are 2/5 to be top 4, L'Pool are 7/1. S'ton 9/2, W'Ham 16/1 & Spurs 11/2. (odds courtesy of Paddy Power).

Taking their margin into account they give L'Pool a 1 in 9 ish chance of finishing Top 4, the way I look at it is there are 20 games to make up 5 points on Arsenal (the others will look after themselves imo). Not at all mission impossible, certainly something to be targetted and not dismissed as impossible at this stage.
