Vodafone v meteor in same area

I have a vodafone 3G router and getting ok signal and retrieving download speeds of 7gb which I am very happy with except for the monthly allowance. Before Christmas I purchased a meteor 4g router-I am receiving full 3G signal in certain areas of the house and 4g in one area but the download speed is less than 1gb. I can't…

Why is the vodafone download speed much better than the meteor one?
