    Hi Canyon,

I am in the same situation.

26 with Masters and looking to move to Chicago.

The PCT Career training visa (J1 Trainee) seems to be the main option.

I am looking to move there early in the new year.

hi samba! thanks for your reply!

I have two years work experience in I.T

    whats your background?

My own background would be in Business/IT. My experience would have had more of a focus on the business side but masters had information systems element.

How much have you looked into the move? I have a few resources gathered especially on the usit pct visa. Chicago is a great choice I think.

    Commerce as well initially.

Yes, in Cork but looking to move by Feb or so. Have looked into it a good bit and have few resources gathered as regards past companies on the USIT programme.

Let me know how you get on when you look into it more!

Your not giving enough time for a company to hire you etc. Why so soon? Could you not find work with google etc and they may or could move you to the states.

I'm sure it well take time for a company to hire people from other countries by the time they do there checks on people

Green card is hard to get. If you find more than one american lady send one my way. ;-)
