    The other outer planets will live on though. They will be orbiting around something just as heavy but which is very small and very dim and everything will be black and cold and it will be night all the time.

    Jupiter though could sustain itself billions of years after the sun because it's heat source is internal.

    ah sure some alien will put a black monolith in orbit of jupiter and turn it into a new star for us to use.
