Possible Noob question, Our Belkin Wireless modem has packed in and we are looking to replace it with a modem that has a good range as the belkin struggled. But also have the ability to connect 5 phones, 3 laptops and a ps3. Not all at once but its possible. We were looking at the tp link archer c7. This is an AC modem and I read in the description on the currys website that it is for Fibre Optic BB, whereas we just have BB through the phone line. The packaging itself doesnt mention that its only for FO BB. This is the link. Any advice?

    Thanks,

Thats a router only. You need to connect it to a separate modem to get it online. For phone line broadband thats an ADSL2+ modem, for eFibre its VDSL2 and for UPC they'd give you a cable modem.

If you bought that you'd have to buy a second unit, or get one from your ISP.
