Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    As the title says.
Got one for Christmas and I'm happy with the taste but it's only warm after I put milk in and gone in a few mouthfuls.
I then find myself wishing I had a hot cup to sip on...
Can I put boiling water in instead of cold when brewing to solve this problem?
I know the thing about temperatures for coffee etc but I'm a creature of habit and like a hot cup in the morning..
    Thanks!

    ¡arriba, arriba! ¡andale, andale!

Perhaps heat the cup before pouring the coffee in?

I wouldn't advise it unless it's detailed as ok in the manual. There may be gaskets or seals that aren't rated for boiling water and could perish under the high temperatures. I'd say heating the cup is the best advice.

Heat the milk in microwave beforehand, or give the whole thing a blast afterwards, 20 seconds should do it.

Thanks for replies. So have been running the hot water into (new, smaller porcelain) cup before sticking the pod in and that's making a huge difference.
I don't have a microwave so can't zap but so far so good with the cup thing!
    Thanks again :)

No you can't. It says in the instructions to only use cold water. I wouldn't be surprised if boiling water caused the plastic water tank to crack.

That's why I thought it best to a ask, my instructions are pictures...which are open to interpretation!!

On a side now has anyone seen/used the reusable pods you can buy on ebay?
I own a hario grinder and relish the thought of somehow using my own coffee in the dolce gusto...
