Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Important enough game for City considering the game between Chelsea and Southampton.

No Aguero, Yaya or Kompany for City. Milner/Silva leading the line.

Burnley name an unchanged team for the fifth game running:

Confirmed #BFC starting XI: Heaton; Mee, Shackell (c), Keane, Trippier; Boyd, Jones, Marney, Arfield; Barnes, Ings

We're a one man team; didn't you realise that?
    ;)

Playing the best quality of football in the league at the moment, without a doubt. Just a pity we got off to a slow start to the season.

I actually would take him off now if there's any concern. No point in taking any unnecessary risks. Famous last words, but we should have this game sewn up now. Get him off and get him ready for the Mackems. Same goes for Merlin.

I don't think it's too much of a risk, didn't look like a concussion or anything more serious than a cut, he can't really aggravate it.

Was thinking the same myself. He seems grand but yeah no point risking. Get Jovetic and Sagna on and let Fernandinho burst forward a bit more as well. Good half overall, first goal really stuffed Burnley after a good start

    Silly silly goal to concede

    Edit: Should be offside...poor decision

offside but dreadful defending in the first few minutes

The standard of refereeing/officiating is p1ss poor at the moment.

Navas has done very well today, both in attack and in defence

Can't describe how much I want Chelsea to win the league after this! City always screw me over!

Pellegrini f*cked up by not having Vinny and Yaya in the match day squad. They shouldn't be needed against Burnley but still there's always a chance of something like today happening.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,519 ✭✭✭Take Your Pants Off

Mistake on bringing Lampard and Jovetic too early.
Milner and Nasri were doing well themselves.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

A shocking waste of two points there. Fine, the first Burnley goal was a farcical decision by the linesman assistant referee, but we should have enough to see that game out. Mourinho will be like a dog with two sets of of crown jewels to lick.

quick question for City fans. Any reason why Yaya wasn't in match day squad. Was he simply rested or was there an injury?

    Thanks.

What are you talking about justice? He was offside and shouldn't have stood???

City's official twitter said he was indeed rested and Vinny wasn't risked. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Yaya picked up a knock though.

I'm going to guess that's some sort of payback for Sterling last year. :)

What? Seriously? Then I hope justice will be equally served for Suarez not being sent off at Anfield against us last season. And not forgetting the two cast iron penalties (the foul on Dzeko and the Skrtel handball) that we weren't given in the same game. Yes, justice would be nice.

    Lol.

I'm afraid I'm referring to much more recent events, such as a few days ago when Crystal Palace had a goal wrong disallowed for offside.
