My son got an x box1 but my tv does not have a hdmi connection it only has scart or the yellow,white and red connections,would anybody know what kind of cable and where I could I get one.

Xbox one is HDMI only as far as I am aware.

You can get HDMI to Scart converters, for example:

However, you'll be looking at seriously reduced quality as both scart and composite (the yellow connector you refer to) are analog and not HD compatible. If you're considering a new TV now is the time to do it.

To be honest, I wouldn't recommend a HDMI-to-SCART converter at all. This generation of consoles has been designed with only HD televisions in mind. Using a SD television will probably result in text that is completely unreadable.

In other words, I'd only recommend getting a new tv, preferably one with 1080p in the spec list.

This is a good way to do it, just keep in mind not all monitors have built in speakers so the only way to hear audio will be through a headset or an external speaker set.
