Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rodgers teams have always seemed to have bad defences.

    11/12 with Swansea - 41 goals Conceded

    12/13 - 43 goals Conceded

    13/14 - 50 goals Conceded

14/15 - 27 goals. Based on this we are expected to concede 46 goals.

    Yaaayyyy an improvement!!

Probably not tbh, but whether I trust him with it is a moot point.

If FSG don't trust him, they have to sack him. If they do trust him (which presumably they do), then they have to back him.

No activity in this window would be us giving up on 4th and/or us gambling on Sturridge coming back firing straight away and staying fit. In other words, idiocy.

They might not see it quite as clearly as that. They could hang tough until the summer if they are not fully invested in Rodgers, leave their options open until the larger market of players opens then.
If that is their opinion of Rodgers, it does not mean they are obliged to replace him straight away.. they could take the view that he is useful for bringing along the younger players and integrating those players he bought last summer.
The larger market for managers also opens in the summer.

Now remember that original advice you gave me yesterday about talksport?

Well maybe you should take you're own advice and don't read what that poster posts if his style rubs you up the wrong way so much.

Still upset about that are we, very mature.

    How much time is imminent?

One hour, one day, one week, one month.

How how long do we have to wait to find out if Sterling has signed his contract.

It will be like a new signing when he does it

Bet Gerrard knew about the Glen Johnson contract, and that's why he's leaving.

Lads, how do you go about getting tickets for a Liverpool match? I know there's a membership thing, but do some ever go on general release for any of the smaller matches?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,188 ✭✭✭mosstin

Watching United in the Cup. They really are a poor team. If we can put a proper run together, a little like last year, then 4th is still possible. Unlikely but possible.

Just go into the Liverpool tickets thread someone will nearly always sort you out there for pretty much any game. Robert18 is sound and always has a bundle of tickets.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,482 ✭✭✭Hollister11

Probably just go in the the ticket booth, or you might get people selling them outside.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,399 ✭✭✭✭Thanx 4 The Fish

There is the late availability on the website if you have membership you can always get a ticket 2-3 days before a game. They will not sell them on the day at the booths unless it is a friendly or at least they have not in the time I have been getting up there.

In the tickets thread is a decent shout too.

I'm a fan of Mr. Alan, but he hasn't progressed like I had hoped, tbh. Be that because of injuries, or he hit his natural peak, I don't know.

Would not be upset to see him moved on and a replacement of a different ilk brought in.

    FYP :)

Falcao would be lethal in our side.

Hypothetical scenario- If Rodgers was told you've 20 mil plus money generated from player sales to spend in January and Lacazette was available for 30 would you be willing to sell Lucas for 10 to fund the deal?

We'll presume no other funds are coming in from player sales.

    Yeah, probably.

I know what Rodgers can do with good forwards. Lacazette and a fit Sturridge would be lethal. Even without Sturridge, I'm convinced Balotelli would be a lot better with someone like him up top alongside him.

There's no way it should ever come down to that, though. FSG should be well able to stump the cash, and keep Lucas, who has a few years left at a high level.

Hypothetical-If LFC can't come up with £€$10m extra to buy a player without selling one first we really are in trouble with FFP.

for Lacazette then yes i would though knowing us we'd leave it till the last hour then offer £25m and balls the thing up

    Lacazette won't leave in Janauary.

What we should be doing is what Chelsea did last season with Costa we should be lining him up now for a summer transfer.

Liverpool emulating Chelsea is not something I ever want to contemplate.
