Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'll want proof of that. Got what he dereved for the biting.

I'd like him at our club too, but I'd still have no problem with him being banned if he did that in a Livwrpool shirt.

Hold on and I'll spend the evening searching the forum to back up my statement.

It is fact, I read it here, on Twitter, on other forums and I see no problem with it. The majority defended him, why? Because he played for our club. Football is tribalistic, if Suarez played for Utd their fans would have defended him, just like the Chelsea fans are defending Costa.

As I've said, he deserves a ban, but I'm not going to care one way or the other about it. I just wish we got him two years ago when we went for him.

Wouldn't bother me if he did the odd horrible act.

You can like the idea of having the football player without condoning his actions. I'd love Roy Keane in our midfield but I wouldn't be condoning him going in to injury anyone.

As they say, it's better to be hated than it is to be pittied.

Wouldn't condone it but if he injured the odd player on the way to bringing us titles I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Its cowardly stamping on someone on the ground.
Aggression is fine been a thug isn't.

    Cowardly my ass....
Costa played the game like a man, not like how people such as Eden 'tom daley' Hazard did, who went down very 2 mins, i think even a gust of wind knocked him over at one stage.

It's professional football, and at a top level i expect it to be physical like it was last night..
    Played on the edge...
    I want a Costa..

Costa is from the Suarez school of football.

Win at all costs and give 100% every game. I'd love a team of Suarez and Costa's. Born winners.

I take it Markovic got away with the clothesline?

Looks like he did, good stuff, 2 fingers to Costa, Mourinho, Chelsea, and sure why not the FA as well.

Good to see him playing the game the right way.

It is not necessary to do what Costa does to play the game with aggression.

Look at Matic, Sanchez, Essien, Drogba

    Costa has no honour.

After he hit the clothesline, he should've went over to Henderson and slapped his chest and said, "Jordan, get the tables." Then the Chelsea fans could've learned another super chant to add to their repertoire. "Tables, Tables, Tables..." And so forth.

I'm a big critic of his but thought Skrtel was fantastic last night. Well up for the battle. Nobody was bullying him.

    Isn't Costa great though

Let's all share our favourite Costa moments.

Remember that time he kept spitting in his hand and throwing the spit at Ramos and Pepe?

What a time to be alive.

    Torres again.

Are we gonna do this with every ex player?

Oh he got that in early, post game presser. Last week he was complaining about City and all their money, if nothing else he's good for a laugh.

    Aren't you a delight?

What's going on in here today? Is it a full moon or has everyone got their period again?

Seriously? It must be great to live in a world with a complete lack of self awareness.

Sorry again about posting about a really high profile ex player after he scored a goal for his former club shortly after his move when the thread is completely dead and very little else is going on. Clearly this is completely unreasonable behavior.

Everyone dives. EVERYONE!!! it is just being professional. And in fairness, the Liverpool forum complaining about diving is a bit much after last year.

Anyway, my issue with Costa is that he tries to hurt people which is not cool just because you believe in doing anything to gain an advantage.

For example if racially abusing someone got them riled, would that be acceptable as the way to play the game?

I don't think chairs, ladders and tables are too far off tbh, considering it is a bigger work than wwe ;)
