Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yep, toward the end of last season. I came on & said that it looked like I'd been wrong about Rodgers.

However, the last few months have shown my initial thoughts were correct.

    Lesson: don't doubt myself

Just on people leaving, the in fighting on here is the worst I've ever seen it. The thread is being ruined and the same old arguments are being dragged up every day. Posters are being judged harshly and its getting quite personal.

Why would any new poster or regular come in and give an opinion. Odds are they'll be dumped into one of two "camps" and probably be told their delusional or negative etc.

We are better than this lads.

We are? I thought it was well known that we're the worst fans in the world!! :)

Suarez struggling at Barca. Rodgers had the team set up perfectly for him to be at his best.

No, Suarez is golddust and Rodgers is a spoofer who had no hand in his brilliance last year, even if it was a vast improvement over his form under Dalglish.

While your post is tongue in cheek Suarez did have great form under Dalglish.

In the first five months he was here there was the performance against United and Fulham away which opened everyone's eyes to what we had in our hands.

His first full season he scored 17 goals in 39 games missing 8 games due to suspension.

And his form for Barca hasn't been that bad either, considering they've been a bit hot and cold as well - not a huge number of goals (3) but I think he has 7 or 8 assists already as well.

Wouldn't mind us getting Shaqiri for 11m. But not too annoyed if we don't sign him either. He is a decent player but a bit selfish but not a huge improvement on what we have atm.

He's a definite improvement on what we have imo.

If we don't sign him because we're after bigger fish, so be it. Great. If we're just sitting on our thumb this window doing **** all, well, disgraceful.

We shall see which it is.

It depends on high u rate him. Im not a huge fan of him. His size could go against him & he tends to hold onto the ball too long. Id rather target Vela from Sociedad who has regulary scored goals in La Liga.

Lloyd's posts are parasitic, sucking the life out of the rest of us posters with his delusional and far reaching ideas. He is a nadir for infection, avoid reading his posts for your own sanity lads.

    You hurt my feelings. :(

I have a strong view on the subject of Liverpool FC. I am passionate about the success of Liverpool FC. I express those strong passionate views in a blunt and straightforward manner. That is no different to early 2007 when I started posting in this thread - what has changed is the competitiveness of the club.

I've been here a long time. I'll be here a long time more. Rage quitting won't change the fact that I like to robustly discuss Liverpool on here. I was popular on this thread in the past, I might not be popular now. But that's fine by me once we're sticking to posts and records of posts. That's all it is after all.

Hopefully 5live will be back on here soon.

I think 5live's post has gone over some peoples heads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,372 ✭✭✭✭Mr Alan

Rodgers says there's already players in the squad with the leadership qualities to fill the void left by Gerrard. He then name checks Raheem Sterling :(

Not content with seemingly turning to him to replace Suarez's goals, now we want him to replace Gerrard's leadership qualities.

I swear, if I was advising Sterling I'd be telling him to get the **** out of dodge ASAP.

The other player he mentions is Henderson, who he continues to play out of position to the detriment of both the team & the player.

I think we all know Sterling hasn't got Gerrards leadership qualities but I see f*ck all wrong with 'The Rodgers' trying to give him a boost by saying he has.

Well, we dont know that for sure because the team hasn't been announced but if that is in fact the team again then its unacceptable.

The same guy tweeted the team the night before the last few games and was spot on.

As I said before it's either bib theory or someone is leaking either way giving the team we are playing the 24 hours heads up on how to set up against us needs to stopped.

    Why is it unacceptable?

If it's Manquilla & Markovic as wing backs/forwards with Can, Škrtel & Sakho as the 3 CBs with Lucas in front of them and Henderson in CM I see not a whole lot wrong with it.

Lambert up front is required imo as he's well accustomed to dealing with defenders from the lower leagues.

Coutinho & Gerrard as creators with Lallana coming on if/when/as required.

Big plus for me would be Sterling rested/protected from an experience against battle hardened lower league defenders.

If its this I've seen worse this season...just!

    Bag
    Can, Škrtel, Sakho
    Manquillo
    Lucas
    Marković
    Henderson
    Gerrard, Coutinho
    Lambert.
