Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hopefully the table looks the same at full time. 6th and only 3 off fourth.

Our 2 out of favour strikers could win the game for us..... what is this world coming to

Balls late Spurs winner. Yet again. We would have gone above them too with the draw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,299 ✭✭✭✭rob316

    **** off spurs

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 40,061 ✭✭✭✭Harry Palmr

Utd were utter pants I understand and they also win 2-0 so only ground gained is in terms of West Ham, Soton and Arsenal not having played. Ah well.

    edit Utd late goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,395 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Bit annoying those Utd and Spurs wins. Could easily have both been draws.

Great win that, corner well and truly turned. Well done Brendan and the lads.

Once sturridge returns and we finish a couple of the 20 chances created these games will be alot less nervy,

Good result and a nice bit of form materialising and momentum being gained. Results went our way last weekend so cant have em going our way every weekend.

Great to find the consistency again. Another clean sheet to boot :)

    Over the next 18 games 9W, 6D & 3L would yield that 33 points.

11W, 5D & 2L yields 38 points and a season total of 67 points, realistically I can't see anything over 67 points this year. I do think that 67 points is achievable though.

    That's the first win achieved.

18 from 27 since the 3 PL defeats in a row.

2nd win of the required 11 achieved, clean sheet too.

21 points from 30 since the 3 PL defeats in a row.

    Hard to complain :D

3 clean sheets away from home in the league shocker. First time since 2008.

Great to see Lambert do what he was bought for, come on late and set up chances and score a strikers goal. Fair play

    When's Studge back?!

    I don't think we Played particularly well, but a Win's a Win. :D

Bar 15 mins where Aston Villa played very well and we defended very well, that game was as comfortable as it gets.

Had some excellent chances to put a player through only for the player with the ball not noticing him, on top of the chances we had (Sterling in particular).

Also, Sakho was outstanding today. Unbelievably composed and dealt with everything. Right now, he's one of the first names on the team sheet. Without doubt our best CB.

skrtel was immense today. Motm performance

I think that was the most unambiguous example of why Borini isn't good enough for the club.

He's a trier and he did what he could but he's too slow of wit and too short on quality to be able to make an impact up front.

We need our forwards to get involved in play. It's not enough to put chances away and work off the ball. He just cannot do that.

Still, happy for him and hope he gets a good move either this month or in the summer.

Good performance on the whole but we're going to throw points away this season if that's how we play in the final third. It'll be very different with Sturridge in there but it'll have to be to give us a chance at top 4.

We mostly defended quite well and Migs was solid when we didn't.
Good performance from the captain and plenty of quality on the ball in the first 2/3rds of the pitch but too many poor passes, hesitation and generally poor execution around the box.

Introducing Can and Sakho to our defence has immediately tightened things up. Really happy for Sakho in particular.

He looks awkward but he pretty much wins everything he goes for. Great at tackling and can play the ball a bit too.

Would have Borini gone tomorrow if we had a replacement.
Sturridge offers mobility and skill up front, but we're lacking a quality backup.
Still think he's the best option of the three, as sad as that is.

Skrtel plays better when they're in the side too.
If only we hadn't spent the 20m on Lovren.

Still have no faith in Skrtel. Nice to start racking up clean sheets though.
