Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They've aged very well I though, hideously ugly when released but they have grown on me.

There are a variety of options for people whose eyesight deteriorates as they age. Glasses, contact lenses, laser eye surgery, cataract removal, etc... but the first step should be to consult with an optician.

    BMW 2 series

I saw one yesterday and it looks a constipated design.

Considering they just rear ended a 1 series with a Mercedes B class to produce the design, I'd imagine it's a bit impacted in the rear end alright.

The Spaceback is quite offensive in the flesh. Especially the side profile.

I am yet to see one up close, but I thought the Spaceback looked good.

A car I really want to like but I fear those plastic strips on the door will crack and fall apart in time. The rest I really like, especially the interior. I reckon the plastic on the doors will quietly disappear in time.

I was very much disappointed with the interior of the Cactus. I cannot help but like it though, nice to see Citroen where they once were, making quirky cars. The last few years have not been good for them in terms of originality, in a sense. They were very distinctive cars right up until the late 1990s.

Chrysler Ypsilon. Just an odd looking car never that never quite looked right.

As for the BMW 2 Series MPV I think it looks classy and stylish and the VW Golf SV ain,t bad looking either would not call it ugly maybe a bit dull like most VWs I suppose.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I think the 2014 Jeep Cherokee deserves a nomination.

    The Porsche Panamera also.

Wife had one, a truly awful car in every way.

Lotta blandness being called out here but the roomster and the mini coupe are the only out and out uggos so far I think. Fiar 500l mpw in third place. Ypsilon is gammy in fairness but I think all the modern lancias are gammy.
Meh you'd swear I was driving ferrari or a Citroen ds or some other design classic myself rather a jap family wagon.

I'd get over looking at a panamera much quicker than the bmw 5GT.

Its an improvement over the previous model, which is surprisingly very common in Ireland, I noticed.

If ever a market research team made a clerical error in results, this is it.

Who in the name of Jesus did they design this for?

I think that looks rather good. Dunno how people say it looks crap but no one ever said that the Mazda5 looks crap and it's nearly the same thing!

    Mercedes benz CLA class

It just doesn't look right to me, it seems very unproportional!
Why not just buy a C class or a Year or 2 year old CLS for same money.

That argument could be made for any car ever sold.

Why not just have 1 car maker selling 1 model and we can all buy it.

If you can go by Google those boxer diesels supposedly give their fair share of issues.

I own one of these in dark blue...that photo doesn't do the car any favours... most reviews prefer the shape of the tourer to the hatchback but each to their own as they say :)

    Hi all,

Just seen this Honda Civic tourer for sale and I immediately thought "What an ugly car"

I was surprised especially when the Civic hatchback is so innovative and stylish in my opinion.

But what were Honda thinking with this?

My question, what new car were you surprised at for being so ugly compared to its previous model or Hatchback/saloon/estate model.

I don't want any suggestions about the Ssangyong Rexton, that has always been an ugly car in any guise and generation.

That logic doesn't make sense. Going by that why would anyone bother buying any new car then when they could buy a 20 year old 911 for the same money?

The CLA, CLS, are niche models derived from regular saloons for those who want something a bit more sportier than a standard saloon.

I've always thought there was a market for a rear strut brace attachment for child seats. Still not much help in a porsche I suppose.

It was the Porsche or the 'rarri that had to go.

I have four major classic projects on the go, so we have six cars around here with another on the way, and as I no longer get much use from it, it was the one to go.
