Id like to put in a few timers for lights around the house for when it's unoccupied. Does anyone have any particular one they could recommend?

    1. Inside or outside.
    2. Fixed lights or free standing lamps on trailing cables.
If inside and free standing the timers are easily got in woodies, b&q etc

Loads of different types you can get in diy stores with digital and switch timers.
You can also use something like this with an app.
