Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Think LVG was always going to take off falcao. He has strategies before the game that he sticks to and I think he simply felt falcaos fitness would be jeopardised by playing the full 90.

Think bringing on januzai was a statement of intent to go for the win.

LVG has been so lucky this year.

West Ham should have drawn at OT
    DDG in world class form
    Liverpool and Arsenal diabolical.

"Adnan Januzaj going down a blind alley" as they said on NBC. Story of his last year.

If Jones, Evans and Smalling never played again I'd be delighted.

Evans needs to be shown the door. The guy is only 26 and not only has he made no progress developing as a player in the last 3 or 4 years he seems to be regressing at quite a rate. A liability.

Lads, Falcao was knackered and he hobbled off. Van Persie is more likely to get a goal at this stage than Falcao would have been.

    Moyes with Cleverly

Cleverley only started 17 of Moyes' 34 league games (with sub subs appearances) to be fair and while he was awful, the alternatives were post-illness Fletcher and post-lunchtime Anderson, not Falcao or one of Herrera/Rooney/Mata depending on the formation.

A statement of intent would have been to take off 1 of the 3 CBs or the player playing just in front of them.

Hamstring, that's Young out for the next 2-3 weeks.

That's what happens when you play so many games so quickly

Bit scummy from stoke fans cheering an injury

That would of been stupid considering how weak uniteds defence looks with three at the back.

I meant in relation to picking an attacking wide player instead of a full back

All talk about improvement from Utd but not beating 10 man Villa, getting dominated by spurs 2nd half and dominated by Stoke 2nd half is not improvement.

    Dominated me hole

Stoke deserve more with this second half performance but dominated? Gimme a break

United's best period of the season coincided with the only period they've played 4 at the back. This is a fúcking joke even if they can scab a win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

With Falcao off United don't look a threat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Stoke fans are like Niall Quinn's commentary. I shouldn't like them but I do because they wind people up so much.

When did Begovic make a save?

Stoke hit the post and should have had a peno too.

Stupid free to give away. Just inviting pressure on

What are you benchmarking their improvement against?

They finished 7th last season and despite being shaky are comfortably 3rd with a chronic injury problem and a huge overhaul of the squad.

United are clearly getting better and looking better.
Controlling games, players showing more confidence, more character and winning games they play poorly in. Reminds me of the last season United won the league...

    Evans again losing possession :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,196 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Falcao worked his legs off, fair play to Young too, Januzaj playing like last season he is the future.

United could have had a peno. And Hitting the post is missing the target fyi

Has Januzaj even touched the ball since his run to nowhere? Kid desperately needs a loan.

First time ive seen Utd in a long time, they are shocking, no pace, far too many touches, no incisive play, sideways and backwards to clumsy defenders who fong it forward.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,747 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Its been domination since the 60th minute.

If Stoke could play on wet & windy days all the time, they'd win the league.
