    Both are very weak.

    Both are very weak.

Agreed, the highlight of both is Street Life in the Mef track. One of the best feature rappers around :)
Mef & Red are older lads now, both can still rap, but t doesn't sound right over the more modern beats (poorly executed). They had their time and place and that is gone now.

    B. Dolan - Kill The Wolf

I've only listened to a few tracks off this so far and I f*cking love it.

PeteStrumentals 2 finally is out and it is very solid For anyone into their instrumental Hip Hop, it's well worth a listen.

One Be Lo has a new tape out too, but I have heard it's just a compilation of featured verses he has done over the years. He needs to get his sh*t together and get that BABY out there!

I gave Petestrumentals a whirl, I wasn't that impressed with it. There were a few decent tracks on it, but most of it sounded like ideas that didn't quite work and were discarded over the years, but resurrected for this project.

I mean to go back to it again, as it may have been just a mood I was in.
There is a stream of it here -> https://mellomusicgroup.bandcamp.com/album/petestrumentals-2

Had been off Drake for a long while up to recently when I got If You're Reading This It's Too Late. Some seriously good beats on it.

    6 Man is nice

lol i went through my IYRTITL phase very recently as well and it is a smashing album (or mixtape whatever). you could listen to the whole thing and nod your head to every second , drake can pick a beat and he has a v catchy flow as well .

genuinely never thought i'd say this but i'm looking forward to his next album . big time .

A few albums from 2015 that I've checked out recently

Ghostface X Adrian Younge - 12 Reasons To Die II
I love this album, it's excellent start to finish, very much like the first.

    Statik Selektah - Lucky 7
This is real nice, great beats with a great mix of rappers that I like such as Bronson, Joey, Droog, Mick Jenkins. Well worth a listen.

    Vince Staples - Summertime '06
This is an excellent album, Vince Staples is dope.

Action Bronson punches stage invader and throws him off stage :pac:

Ghost going IN on Action Bronson on YouTube

let's not forget he's got an album out

GHOSTFACE KILLAH AIRS OUT ACTION BRONSON ABOUT SO…: https://youtu.be/uiBkS-PvrF

Yeah, this seems very co-incidental that there's albums from both out, Bronsons probably tailing off in sales, Ghosts probably not doing as well as it should for an excellent album.
It's something that they could have done at any time, but have chosen now. Even Bronsons demeanour when he said it is awkward. Normally when both are asked about it they brush it aside.
But there have been apology tweets and that now, so let's see what happens.

My Jerry Springer final thought is that everybody is talking about them.

New Madlib track under the name Trouble Knows Me

    https://soundcloud.com/tags/mms027%20madlib%20invazion

This is an interesting one, an EP with one of the guys from Future Islands who is rapping.....and sounds mad decent at it too.

New Hopsin album out Pound Syndrome. It's alright, some nice tracks but this is just brilliant. Basically a piss take of today's rap on the radio. Nails it!

One of the cringiest most immature things I have ever seen. The man is 30 years of age and yet is still stuck in the angsty teenage "Everything I dont like is bad" stage. That is without mentioning how condescending and patronizing Hopsin is.

First track from Sadistik X Kno (Cunninlynguists)

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,132 ✭✭✭Andy_rse

Nice. Can't wait to get this. I assumed Kno would just produce this but now I'm wondering if he'll rap on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,895 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Man Sadistik's rhymes and videos are so hypnotic. Didn't know he had something new coming out.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,428 ✭✭✭Talib Fiasco

No offence to Kno but I hope he's just on the beats for this one, as I can't bare him for a whole album rapping, but his production work is usually top notch.

Came across this earlier, it's 10 years since One Be Lo's SONOGRAM, possibly my favourite album, certainly my favourite "underground" album. Here's a live version of some of the tracks in the album to celebrate the decade, which is pretty nice. Free stream:

I'd prefer if its just Sadistik, i've been listening to Ultraviolet alot recently and it's super good.

i just gave 'to pimp a butterfly' another chance, another full listen through a few months later and... i think it's absolutely shít. king kunta, the blacker the berry and the live version of i are all class but the rest is completely forgettable. the beats are just sooo boring. i just can't believe the near unanimous acclaim it's getting.

also gave 'if you're reading this it's too late' another listen and i think it's class, better than drake's last proper album. second only to take care

i on this fetty wap hype train, though i can see him falling off very quickly. apart fron the trap queen banger, he's got loads of great tracks on his soundcloud.
