    Hey All,

My sister is getting married this year and she is looking for a wedding dress that is not a typical bridal/tradional wedding dress. Would anyone know any nice boutiques or other fashion outlets that might cater for this?

We are thinking of going to London for a look also so if anyone has any recommendations for there too that would be great.

Thanks in advance for you help!

Monsoon do lovely dresses but don't know if that's the kind of thing you're looking for? Does she have anything in particular in mind? Would she want a long dress or something more understated?

Check out netaporter.com - lots of fab evening gowns that would make gorgeous non traditional wedding outfit!

Yes to netaporter.com and also their outlet site theoutnet.com.

I got my non bridal wedding dress from Neiman Marcus, it was a cocktail dress by Alice + Olivia. Most department stores will have these type of dresses and evening gowns so check out house of Fraser, selfridges, harrods etc if in London.

Maybe have a look at Folkster.com? They have some gorgeous evening dresses. There's a store in Temple Bar, Dublin or Kilkenny (I think the store in Kilkenny is called Shutterbug).

Vivienne of holloway in London do gorgeous 50s style dresses both in wedding type material and all sorts of colours and patterns. Might be worth a look if she'd like that style. I love their stuff.
