I think I have got most of he bad golf outta me in the last 18months. 35 points at the weekend was light at the end of a long and miserable tunnel.Hopefully a sign of things to come. Fingers crossed.
A lotta work needed on the short game but at least I feel like I'm moving in the right direction with the long game at last.

Short story on my HC! Played my first ever open in Feb in Corbellis had 31pts of 22. then a few weeks ago played my second ever open in Castlecomer in Kilkenny think I had 33pts of 22 again. signed up to the new GUI site etc (totally terrible by the way) and seen I was cut from 21.7 to 15.1 after Corbellis. Taught that cant be right so got onto my handicap Secretary at my club bear in mind my hc only changed a few weeks ago & i played Corbellis in Feb!

Anyway a lot of emails back & fort to hc sec,gui etc & it turns out they had CSS at 90 in Corbellis! so my hc secretary rang me to say its been sorted, but im getting a cut to 19.4 after Castlecomer as I had 33pts of 15! Thinking to myself, that cant be right but he reassured me it was after I asked him was he sure. So a bit bemused but delighted with my first ever cut. I wait a few days to check on the gui site(was total it take a few days) Only to see my hc change back to 22(21.8) and I got a .1 back :mad:(I knew it was wrong cas it was a bad day in Castlecomer wet & no run & didnt play great)

So to cut a short story shorter after everything & believe me it was a lot of hassle. I get a bloody .1 back. Seriously talk about dangling a carrot in front of you! Seriously got peed off. Thanks golf net!! :mad:

Yes Rikand - I did notice something went wrong with my table - sorry all.

There are a few others - so rather than fix it.

I went and practiced my putting - sorry Shauna. Will fix it - but fair play RIKand - the table on boards is a bloody monstrosity of a yolk.

Easy way is to not play another singles for the year! Nah....at least 1 singles a week sounds better to me, regardless of .1's ☺

Need to make a confession too. Really inconsistent iron shots spraying right left short and long of greens and chipping still not good enough to make up and downs is pushing my handicap out.

Feel like swing is almost clicking, hopefully in next week or two it will click and handicap will start going in the right direction

Call me mystic goldie... Following my last post ;39 points gave me a win in our open day and a 1 shot cut., followed that with a .1 and then a 1under net in our stroke last week to win my category and another .4 cut, another .1 on tuesday and the buffer today made for a happy month overall

I think I have got most of he bad golf outta me in the last 18months. 35 points at the weekend was light at the end of a long and miserable tunnel.Hopefully a sign of things to come. Fingers crossed.

First cut of the year. Shot 83 in the May Medal for a nett 70 which resulted in a cut of .5

Back to 12.0 after drifting out to 12.5 so hopefully can build upon this going forward.
