Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking to buy a roadbike in dublin. Can anyone recommend some good shops around Dublin? Based in stillorgan but can travel. For a woman ~5 foot 7!

Did a search but can only find threads from 4+years ago on shops around Dublin area

Or try Hollingsworth a little further up the road good guys and a much better selection of bikes, I think fitzcycles only carry two brands.

Harry's bikes in clonskeagh are decent too , it'd be worth browsing online , and see what brand would you like and check what bike shop stocks them and travel to try it , I wouldn't buy a particular bike brand just because a bike store near me stocks it . As I said , research bikes on line find one that you like and make sure the frame is going to suit the type of riding you plan on doing .
Good luck with your search .

Top Bicycle shop out in Clontarf are lovely, really helpful and give great advice. There are a load of helpful bike shops about but I'm not sure about their bike selections. CycleBike on Mary's Abbey (orange shop!) seem to have a good bike selection, they're nice in there too. Go to a few and try them out. Bike shopping is fun!

I'd usually recommend a lbs, but you should at least look in giant on the long mile road and cycle superstore off the Greenhills road in Tallaght
to size them and talk to enthusiastic sales staff.

If you don't have cycling shorts, its worth trying (and probably buying) cycling shorts.
As a man who got bib shorts this year, I'd definitely recommend these, but I'd canvass women before spending big money.

I got my last road bike in Cycleways, tried a couple of sizes on the turbo trainer before I ordered it. Didn't go for a women's bike in the end (Specialized Tarmac) but they swapped out the saddle and handlebars I chose after having a fitting.

I have received great service from both Joe Daly cycles in Dundrum and Fitzcycles in Stillorgan - both convenient to you.

I live in Stillorgan. My suggestion are Fitzcycles, Stillorgan or Joe Daly Cycles. Dundrum.
