Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I currently use a messenger bag for the office. It's getting a bit shabby and worn...it's OK for carrying files, tablet, paper etc....but if I throw in a bunch x or anything bulky...it doesn't work.

So I wanted to get a backpack but one that looks good for the office or a bigger style messenger bag.

Not sure if this is the right forum...if not Mods feel free to move it.

    Any advice or recommendations?

I got this last year. Would highly recommend it. It has plenty of pockets for storage, laptop and tablet pocket too. I've often brought it with me when im travelling back home.

I got this near on four years ago and still going strong.

Its from an Irish company, if that's your bag.

My Inspiron 1720 fits into it (17 inches).

I bought this bad boy last year for college and it hasn't let me down.

Edit: I should have included that I'm a larger chap and have found the straps on other backpacks to be far too tight. This backpack doesn't cause me that.

    Hi

I gave up on the various Dell / HP LAptop Bags and went for swissgear-synergy

I got in on sale from best buy last year for $49.

Now about 5 guys in the office have them, premium bit of kit available in several sizes.

    Regards;

    Derek

I would add: if the weight is at all substantial, go for a backpack and use both straps as much as possible. This is from experience: I carried a laptop around London in a shoulder bag, in the 90s, and my left shoulder has never been right since then.

Death has this much to be said for it:
You don’t have to get out of bed for it.
    Wherever you happen to be
    They bring it to you—free.

If the weight is an issue make sure you get one with a sternum strap, otherwise your shoulders will not thank you in the long term.
