Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you can do it, remove that connector entirely. Go straight from Alt to R/R then direct to Battery.
The less the better when it comes to stuff in that system.

Ok. If I remove the cover of the ALT will it leak oil? I know its a dumb question but I need to double check:P

Doesnt matter. There was oil in there. I guess a seal is gone unless a little oil is ok?

Anyway ill replace wire from alt to rr tomorrow.

I think most Honda's have an oil cooled alternator, if you remove the cover it will probably break the gasket as well.
You could solder the new wires on to the old ones and use some good quality shrinktube if you didn't want to open the cover and solder direct to the stator.

Yep just reading up. A little oil is normal. Thank christ. Really need the bike for Friday.

Thats the pulse generator, the alternator is probably the RH side.

Just to save me some time tomorrow. As I mentioned before, I cleaned some connections last week. These included the ignition coils going to the spark plugs. If I assembled them wrong could this have caused my wiring to melt?
