    Reading the article suggests that there may have been issues for emergency Service access. It may not be immediately obvious, but for Mountain Bike events Mountain Rescue may be a better option for a first response in some cases. (but not this one I fear)

    Galway Mountain Rescue have conducted exercises in case of incidents at Derroura Woods. Be no harm for local MB clubs to make contact with the local MR team and come up with agreed protocols.
