I'm also painfully shy when meeting people IRL I don't tend to say much and people tend to get the impression that I don't have a lot to say, when actually my brain never stops! It does hurt when people decide that's the case and no longer want to be friends but I've learnt to deal with it over the years. Funnily enough I don't seem to be too shy here, I definitely communicate better in writing
