Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey Grem.

I think someone needs to test that rum you have been feeding them Mozz.

I acknowledge that this may be a risky task, so I am willing to do it, seeing as I suggested it.

Blue? Did Ted say Blue? I used to be called Blue when Blue_Lagoon. That's before I drifted to the dark side and became BLACK Swan.

I'm a big fan of curry in general, love Indian food, love Thai curries, but Japanese curry is something different. It's more like a stew.

Right now, I've got diced beef simmering away slowly in the pot with some onion, I'm gonna add some carrots, mushrooms, a few baby potatoes as it cooks away slowly and a pepper towards the end. Think of a really tasty stew that's been slowly cooking away for a couple of hours, beef nice and tender, that's what this is going to be like. Then at the end I put in the curry mix, which is a lot sweeter than your Indian or Thai curries. I've a few different mixes, including some that friends brought me back from Japan :p

For tonight's curry, I'm using this one:

    chickencurry02.jpg

So once that's ready, I'll serve it with some Japanese rice, it'll look something like this:

    Japanese-Curry.jpg

I suppose the best way to describe it is, think of it as a hybrid between a really nice stew and a really nice curry ;)

Whew! You had me worried there a bit Ted. I had so much fun and drank too much last night for Valentine's that I cannot remember all of it.

Oh it's so good, any time I cook this people go nuts for it. Girlfriend adores it, housemate, between them they could eat the lot. When I've had friends over for it, it's insane how much people love it :D I'm not kidding either, I'm cooking a gigantic pot, cooking nearly a KG of beef, and I'll be lucky if this lasts after tomorrow.

I forgot, I also put a table spoon of soy sauce in before the curry mix on the suggestion of a Japanese friend of mine, it brings out a bit more flavour.

    Anyway, really tasty stuff.
