Best place to stay depends on yourself and whoever is with you!

The range of accommodations is huge. How much are you willing to spend and what level of comfort do you want?

I stayed in a really basic guesthouse and was happy with it.

Somewhere clean, decent aircon, not too far from beach and pubs... Willing to pay up to 1400 baht a night, only planning on staying two nights... Private room rather than dorm...

If possible try stay an extra night, but being honest Phi Phi is way more expensive for accommodation than most places in Thailand. 1400 baht is about 35 quid a night, is that per person or per room?

Yes just looking on the booking sites, even the most basic places are quite expensive, per room if possible unless it's a nice place that is worth the extra money...

I've been twice, but there is very little really good accommodation that will tick all your boxes. This place is right in the middle of things, only stayed for one night while waiting for a beachside hotel to become available. Perfect for a party and cheapish! Wifi wasn't too bad either which is unusual for Phi Phi.

Always found it better to just land on an island early in the day and try a few places.

You know exactly what you're getting and are in a position to haggle a little!
