Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Rickie lambert is pointless

Unless they start bombing the ball up to him, he is.

No point playing pretty passing play with Lambert up front.

The 16 stone man reacted quicker than 3 Liverpool defenders

Fell right to him in fairness. You don't have to be in shape to stick a foot out.

Markovic looks good but too weak. Keeps getting muscled off the ball.

Just seen the reply there, wasn't the greatest angle but didn't seem to be much of a foul.

Get Balotelli on. Let's just go all out comedy mode.

Akinfenwa is more mobile than Lambert.

It didn't fall right to him. He battled his way forward to get to the ball while the 8 men in red stood and watched it.

Henderson's shot is literally in the car park.

He won't sort the defence out.

He's had 2 years, mountains of cash (one of the most expensive defences in Europe) & we're getting worse & worse.

Countiho clearly hates playing with this forward line

So we could play Benny hill music every time he played.

Yeah it wasn't a foul at all for me.

    Hendersons shot, lol.

Not too surprised with proceedings tbh, every cup game under rodgers has been a slog.

It is just head wrecking trying to understand what Rodgers is thinking picking Lambert to play ahead of Couthino and Markovic.

Mignolet the scapegoat again I see. Pulled off a Worldie before Wimbledon scored, I thought it was a foul on him for there goal too.

Just me or was that a carbon copy of Basel's first goal earlier this season?

He sure did, but dealing with crosses is a goalkeeping skill that he is poor at.

Yeah I have no real problem with Mignolet for the goal. Only thing I'll say is that it was a battle he was never winning.

LFC not being able to defend corners is a ****ing disgrace........
Lambert offers nothing in any mobile attack.

Scapegoat my hole. Have you watched liverpool this year. You can't forgive the constant mistakes he makes.

In fairness, as a keeper if your coming off your line you do everything to get the ball. Mignolet was weak and almost halfhearted.

I don't think he knows how. What's worse is that he won't get help either.

    Gotta love MOTD.

Mignolet is akin to Dracula. Afraid of crosses.

Lambert up front is a donkey. Contributes absolutely nothing to the game. Feel sorry for Mignolet to be fair, he has being crucified by fans this season no wonder he is gone to sh1te.

Its grand pulling off the odd world class shot stopping but if ya cant do the basics it negates any of that.

Confidence is big too i cant imagine its too high or even if the defence has confidence in him either.

They were quoting Bruce Grobbelaar who called Mignolet Dracula.

Why are we playing 3 at the back against a 2nd division club

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Tipping a shot that's straight at you over the bar is hardly a world class save

Wonder would FSG consider Rodgers position if they lose here tonight...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,812 ✭✭✭thelad95

I thought there was potential for a shock but Wimbledon should push on now.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,825 ✭✭✭Timmyctc

He can make as many "world class" saves as he likes, but as long as he is totally inept at coming for crosses he will be a poor keeper.

He went to ****e long before that. You can't defend the guy, he has been really poor.

Lambert has offered absolutely nothing in the first half. Easy to forget he's actually on the pitch.
