Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi folks,

Hoping to get a bit of help. I've a late 08 Macbook Pro that had been going fine for years. I installed Yosemite, it booted fine for a few days, but now when I press the power, I get the light on the front, and the trumpet noise, but nothing else..

It's original apart from I replaced the HD with an ssd prior to installing mavericks during the summer and no hassle..

    Any ideas?

    Cheers itb

Could be booting ok but the screen isn't coming on. Try taking the back off and checking all the cables are secured.

Try doing an SMC reset plenty of tutorials on youtube or mac forums, or you could try connecting to external monitor and do fresh install of yosemite
