Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone watching the West ham Everton replay? A real throwback, both teams eye balls out going for a win. A reminder of the attraction of the cup, good crowd, under lights, cold night, crash bang footie.... Ah the good old days

I've only caught the last 12 mins of it but if the rest of the game was like that it must have been a cracker of a game

Great cup game tonight. The cup games should always be decided on the night, no replays.

Best cup game I've seen in a good while, Goalie v Goalie in pen shoot out in the end

If that was the case that great game wouldn't have happened tonight.

Aye, but it meant someone had to win tonight, it should be like that always.

Any one of about 5 or 6 results yesterday would have been the biggest football shock back in the 70s and 80s, the teams in 1st, 2nd and 3rd going out v lower league opposition, ManU and Liverpool only managing draws etc. The Chelsea result would have been seismic.

As it was, it was more "oh yeah, interesting" and lots seem to be playing the "sure it's only the Cup" card. 9,300 at Burnley Spurs at couple of weeks back says it all.

But nowadays when a lower league team pulls off " a shock", they are playing a second string premier league team who often look like they've just met.

In the old days before the rich teams having huge squads, the shocks involved beating the actual first team of a club in a higher division
