Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I have just bought a house and the auctioneer says she never got a code and the alarm was never set. I am worried when i enter the house for the first time the alarm is going to start beeping and then go off as I've no code.

is there a way to disable the alarm if it does go off or is there anyone i can call?

It's kind of ruining moving in day for me!

    Many thanks in advance

    gus

You could probably power the system down totally. What make /model is your system?

i haven't had access since viewing. the power for the apartment is currently disconnected. i wonder when the power is restored will it impact the alarm.

do you know if the power for the alarm comes of the main power? or does it jump onto battery once power is off.

will know make of alarm on sat when i get in.

You would need to remove the mains fuse or spur fuse at the panel & also disconnect the battery in the panel.

When you say panel do you mean the keypad box in the hall?

I will be restoring power to the house at the weekend - will this cause the alarm to go off or just restore power to it?

The panel is the main control panel not the keypad.
